The bluehead chub, ''Nocomis leptocephalus'', (originally ''Cirrhitichthys leptocephalus''〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Nocomis leptocephalus: Accepted name )〕 ) is a cyprinid native to North America. ==Distribution==

The bluehead chub can be found in the southeastern United States. Its range includes Virginia, West Virginia, Alabama, Mississippi, North Carolina, Florida and Louisiana.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Bluehead chub (Nocomis leptocephalus) - FactSheet )〕 As a result of bait bucket releases by fishermen, the bluehead chub has spread to multiple drainage basins in which it is not native.〔
